five thousand shades of blue

2001 isn't supposed to be this year. 2001 is supposed to be The Future. Welcome to The Future, I think.
When I stop to think what I did over this past weekend, the only thing I really remember clearly is the New Year's Eve party. And doing some work on Saturday. Does this mean I wasted my time? Or does it just mean that what I did was so unimportant and trivial that I have forgotten all about it already?
New Year's Party was fun. Played another couple of
Cheapass Games -- "Give me the Brain" and "The Great Brain Robbery". Sensing a theme here? They were a lot of fun, even if I did horribly bad on the latter of the two games. I'm just not that good a brain-stealing zombie. :)
And I remember watching "Chicken Run" and some Wallace and Gromit on Cartoon Network. And I tuned in and out of "Yellow Submarine", which was definitely conceived while on the best LSD trip ever.
Cafe-wise, we didn't do as well as we did last New Year's during First Night. Maybe because it wasn't "Y2K Madness" this year... or because it wasn't bloody cold. Oh well. At least I didn't have to work it. That sucked sooo bad last New Year's.
There was a whole lot of slugging around on New Year's Day. I remember that pretty vividly too. :)
Last night was uneventful... scraping together dinner out of whatever was left in the pantry after having 5 people in the house all weekend (the three regulars plus two guests), then going grocery shopping. I still have to make a run to Sunrise Asian Market for some rice and other Asian food goodies, but we are much better stocked now :)
is
this just not enough…?
