Maybe it's just the designer in me disdaining too much white space, but I'm really getting aggravated by sites... okay, a spade's a spade, journals... that only give approximately 1 inch of screen space to the relevant, dynamic text. This looks just fine and dandy at the top of the page, but then you scroll down, and it's nothing except that narrow little newspaper-like column of text for screens and screens. No thought is put into that space beneath the initial page. It irks me.
