What is it about entering a coffee shop makes people utterly unable to read? We've got two prominent signs listing what the flavours for the muffins, scones, and turnovers (flaky pastry dough + fruit filling) are each day. I change them every morning, and one even hangs over the pastry basket itself. So it stands to reason that coffee vapours must make people temporarily illiterate if they ask me what the scone flavour is, see me look at the sign and say "date walnut" (or whatever), then ask what the muffin is, then.
