happy new year!It is truly hard to believe that it is 2007 already. I mean, wasn't I just a junior in high school? It's difficult to believe that Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali and Freddie Mercury have been dead for ~20 years.
I would like to first of all apologize to all my friends (esp. Thierry) for not being so good about keeping in touch. I owe so many of you emails (again, esp. Thierry) and I am going to try to get caught up as soon as I can. Know that I think of you all often and feel bad that I'm such a lousy friend. I don't make resolutions as a rule mostly because it's a setup for disappointment, but I will try to be better.
'06 wasn't a great year, but it wasn't bad. It saw me getting off the phones and into another department at work--but it was a lateral move with no pay raise (I'm still grateful to not be on the phone). It saw us moving out of a crappy house into a much nicer one, and acquiring a new cat who's a sweetheart but a disturber of fecal matter
(i.e. shit disturber). It also saw me starting to write again, which is good, but I haven't been doing any art. It saw me gaining back some of the weight I'd lost, which is a huge bummer.
Ah well. Here's to new beginnings.
